For the last few years Games Workshop held a special Advent Calendar where they released new rules or books for use or about their games; short stories, single character rules, missions, scenarios
There's been a slowing down of content on the blog lately. My bad! The silly season has hit, which means there's very little time to do anything. If however, you have any news or content you'd like to submit, just pop me a mail at darrynster@gmail.com and I'll make a plan for ya!
That's right!!! The league is being extended further than its normal deadline. Last day for league games will be the 16th of December. Get gaming people!!
Games Workshop sucks balls. Their lack of FAQ's and vague interpretations are absolutely and utterly annoying. I tried to make a post earlier on concerning house rules but after further debate it seems that they definately do not work. Hence I propose the following:
So with the release of the War Zone Damocles: Mont'Ka book the Astra Militarum/ Imperial Guard have received new rules in the form of the Cadians. Some interesting formations and Detachments, i'm thinking that maybe this is what they need to get back into the game! (here's a link to the leaked stuff)
So who will be breaking out their old Guard? Can we see a return of the Leafblower on the horizon? Does anyone have any good tactical ideas they would like to share??
I for one cannot wait to see the teeming ranks of the Militarum on the battlefield, whether i lose against them or not. So come on! Bring out your Dead!
The above image is proof that the man actually exists. Nice shirt too. There were many cries of amazement at seeing him finally, although in some cases it was more of a shrug (see exhibit b, Kevin, lower left hand corner)
So we has some fun last night, spending too much money as usual and throwing dice around! Battle reports will follow soon so keep your eyes peeled. Unfortunately I forgot to take some pictures of the battle between Andrea and i, but we'll make up for it later.
Don't forget the Horus Heresy Event tomorrow! Sooooo keen on opening that box!!!
BTW: the Unseen Shoppe has some of the white dwarves with the free pins available! they're running out!!
According to this here post on Bell of Lost Souls the Australian segment of Games Workshop has been given the rights to maintain all the old Specialist Games that GW used to offer. this was the letter posted up on facebook:
If this is true then i know for a fact that i will definitely be getting my Battlefleet Gothic on....
